The End is one of two big hits from the second album from David & the Citizens. A strange song combining an 80's low budget drum machine and a full Klezmer band. (Klezmer is traditional Jewish folk music, here represented by the band Tummel.) About the track; David says: "Love that never dies and all thoughts racing through your head. A clear memory of someone crying in the cellar." This is the single version. It differs slightly from the album version. The B-side "Ain't No Good News" is only found here on this sold out single. One of the saddest songs coming from David's pen. Once played on the day of ones death.
