  • “De Trop” is the first new track to be released from This Is Head after their critically well acclaimed debut album “0001” and also the first track not named with a chronological number.

On the release you also find 2 remixes of the previous single “0007”. First one by beautiful “Korallreven”.

The other remix is a remix of a never-to-be-released acoustic studio version of “0007”. The acoustic recording session This Is Head made was more interesting in theory than in practice, but when the wizard of Naima, Hans Appelqvist, put his magic spell all over it, it turned to something springing from a Indian vampire cult.

The original of “0007” is featured on This Is Heads debut album - 0001.

  • This is the second single from the debut album “0001”. “0011” features Danish pop diva star RebekkaMaria but here she’s more of an urban fairy floating in the background like mist.

The surroundings has always been incorporated in This Is Head’s music and here on this single the outer world pays credit back in form of 5 brilliant remixes, each one with their own perspective on the scene and the original track.

Follow Malmö disco scene partner VED brings in crickets and Swedish radio voices to a groove that sounds as an organic Brixton party.

Kasper Bjørke makes singer Björn in This Is Head put new vocals over a beat that best can be described as minimal-disco. Kasper is one of Denmark’s best and most busy DJs and producers.

Harald Björk is an up and coming star on the Swedish techno scene. This almost IDM-remix plays with the lyrics and creates an interesting voyage that already been appreciated by DJ’s like James Holden.

Pao Pao nourishes the songwriting and both creates beautiful voices and turns the original to the dance floor, with the melody in focus.

Adam Lundberg has also made remixes and tracks under the moniker Karachi. Adam has just started his own label called Geography Records where you will be able to enjoy his innovative skills in the producers’ chair. This remix takes you for an ambient disco ride of 16 minutes of mind blowing adventure.

  • This is the first single from the debut album “0001” from Malmoe’s kraut disco meets smart indie rock outfit - “This Is Head”. Track is called “0007” and it’s the perfect sounding fit of Yeasayer joining up with the drummer from Neu! in an effort to play unreleased songs by U2 just so they could be mixed by Dan Lissvik from Studio and be released by Touch & Go.

You also find a remix done by Brooklyn’s own disco star Pocketknife. Previously partner with Theo Parrish now he throws down classic jams as well as own unique remixes occasionally in collab with Cousin Cole as Flagrant Fowl. Lately exploding in blogs with remixes from such different stars as Alphabeat, The Temper Trap, Arthur Russell, Liars, Lykke Li, Sufjan Stevens, Joanna Newsom, Hess Is More, Nico, Yeasayer and Alicia Keys. And our own favorite recreation of Bruce Springsteen’s I’m on Fire, done together with Cousin Cole.

“This is the sound of Malmö! expanding to Brooklyn, Düsseldorf and the world. The perfect mix between discovery channel, autobahn & cars crashing.”
