This debut album by Trio Erici, consists of old traditional tunes from the folk tradition of Öland. Most of the melodies and lyrics were found in the book;” Ölands folkliga visor och melodier genom tiderna” by Göran Rygert and Lars Weinhardt. The book was released in 1987 as a result of the authors five year long effort, collecting traditional songs from Öland. Trio Erici performs some of these melodies in new arrangements with a touch of jazz!
Trio Erici is Harald Erici on piano, Kristin Bertilius on vocal and flute, and Mats Bertilius on double bass.
