'If you want a record to stop time, this is it.' The Times
'A beautiful train ride of a record.' The Edge, U2
"The reason behind our idea is that the original album, with its sparse electronics is one of those rare timeless pieces of music and we felt it would be very exciting to have the album re-interpreted by some of today's most creative musical minds. Also to show what the music actually means to contemporary artists. While we didn't know where to start in terms of remixes it gradually became a flow of artists who wanted to be part of this project, either influenced by Roedelius or simply at awe about the beauty of this record." Gronland label boss Rene Renner.
Anticon's Alias adds his trademark deep breaks but manages to keep the gentle spirit of the music in tact. It was still a challenge for Brendan Whitney aka Alias and not the usual kind of track he would remix, "the album is so loose and free flowing, and I've always locked my music into rhythm..."
Next up is Faultline with trademark atmospherics, ending with an EP exclusive in David 'Minotaur Shock' Edwards re-work.
