Never judge a book by the cover. The Quiet Nights Orchestra may sound gentle and kind, but behind the name hides a young ensemble that sparkles of intensity and interplay. The Stockholm based jazz-outfit was formed in 2006 by trombonist Peter Fredriksson and started out as an instrumental sextet playing original compositions. Nowadays the band has expanded to 8 members including the young talented vocalist Sofie Norling. Influences is ranging from classic Blue Note recordings, the Nordic jazz scene from the 60’s, to the sounds of modern nu jazz from various corners of the world.
QNO is releasing their debut album “Chapter One” on P-Vine Records/Blues Interactions for Japan, Bonnier Amigo in Scandinavia and through Do Right! Music for Canada, UK and France.

Coming from a background of singing jazz and classical composition plus heavily influenced by the likes of Eric Satie & Yann Tiersen newcomer Rosie recorded this timeless album with the help of The Little Orchestra combining chamber music and classical arrangements with pop, folk, jazz and a traditional singer/songwriter vibe making this one of the most personal records we´ve heard in a long time. If you into the likes of Swedish established female artists such as Jenny Wilson and Frida Hyvönen you just gotta check Rosie out. We just did a licensedeal for a 3 track EP with established US label Minty Fresh.

This quartet out of Stockholm Sweden make their own original arrangements of some of the most classic songs out there from the history of music. They´ve just been licensed to the whole of Asia and there´s now also a huge interest from South America, Italy and other parts of the world to release their laidback and cool nu-jazz/bossanova recordings. Amongst the tracks covered you´ll find timeless classics from the likes of Sade, The Police, Carole King, Eurythmics, Zero 7, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Alison Krauss & Union Station as well as Michael Jackson, Elton John and Earth Wind & Fire.

Francis originate from the darkest woods of Sweden. The band has been around since 2006 and released their first single “Bad to the Bone” on the Swedish label Gravitation (home of The Tallest Man On Earth, Björn Olsson) in July 2008.

"Francis takes the blues of The Tallest Man On Earth and adds a circus/cabaret atmosphere. It sounds like a transgender version of Stevie Ray Vaughn if he/she worked in a traveling eastern European circus and was channeling Tom Waits."
