    A musical portrait of the Village of Ammasu in the Brong-Ahafu region of Ghana. The Ammasu Akapoma Band is the hottest funeral band in the region. On this album you will find ritual and recreational drumming, singing in sorrow and happiness, children's music, a brass band and more.

    This album is mostly meant for students and musicians who want to try to find out how a typical west aftrican drumming ensemble is put together. It features "analytical" recordings of the various drum pieces that the Ammasu Akapoma Group is playing. That means that you will hear the regulative bell of each piece together with the various drums one by one and in the end of each piece all together.
