Tor and Leo first met in rhetoric class and quickly discovered their similar taste in music, their love for Giorgio Moroder, futuristic trains and machines that goes beep. When the two, by coincidence, moved in to the same apartment complex sweet noises emerged, echoing over the hills of Ersta. The project soon came to be known as Boeoes Kaelstigen. Boeoes Kaelstigen, preferably pronounced /ˈbʌs ˈtʃɛlstɨɡɛn/, is nowadays a well established techno/house duo with several successful EP’s and indie-to-mainstream remixes behind them. Their work is endorsed by international techno personas such as Laurent Garnier, Michael Mayer of Kompakt and Özgur Can. The strong support, popular remixes and their own melodramatic melodies have taken them to gigs all over the world, including Tokyo, Berlin, the Internet and Paris. Music with a defined goal. Music to be heard on long trips through shimmering metropolises at dawn, and early mornings at barren clubs in ramshackle industrial states.

  • Tanum Teleport is Scandinavian minimal trance duo Boeoes Kaelstigen's album debut — a full length record delivering feelings of cold war threats, public transportation and localities, reincarnated in a futuristic environment.

The year is 2038, when the infamous Unix Millennium Bug is supposed to have wiped out all contemporary infrastructure. The Nordic region is trying to pull itself together, and the old satellite telecommunications station in western Sweden becomes the headquarters. Tanum Teleport is a combination of the past's old torn down structures, colored with the hope of a joint pan European future

  • “Lou” is the second appetizer from Boeoes Kaelstigens upcoming album “Tanum Teleport”. The track “Lou” comes with 4 remixes.

This new EP is an a joint venture release with Discobelle Records and Adrian Recordings. The internet and the old school in a perfect blend.

The release also comes packed with some killer remixes. Panton (ED from NROTB) loved the track so much he just had to do two, the Italian midget house pioneer Mowgli comes strong and twist it up Mowgli style and last but not least we have Nautiluss from the now buried Thunderheist adding another dimension to the Boeoes Kaelstigen universe.

  • This is the first single from Scandinavian minimal trance duo Boeoes Kaelstigen's debut album “Tanum Teleport”. The preceding 2 vinyl 12” has been purely electronic and instrumental but when working with a remix for Swedish moody star Jonathan Johansson they realized what a human element might do in a waste land. Here on vocals you find Stefan Storm, singer in upcoming international stars The Sound Of Arrows.

The track is so melodic but full of cold war threats so to measure it up we needed something powerful and European, and when it comes to smashing progressive house music Italians is second to none. So entering the dance floor on the remix is sweet talking Luigi Lusini with an elegant over the top remix.

  • 1. Radius backwards, all our favorite sounds (and reverb).
    2. Karachi's got enough air to inflate an Intex.
    3. Markus' computer broke.
    4. A deep but yet nervous version of Cecta, for lazy Sundays with hangover.
    5. Andycap's take is amazingly familiar, but completely different.
    6. "That's not death metal house, that's fucking noise!"

This is the sequel to the vinyl 12” - Commuting Colour. Six remixes of the original tracks “Cecta” and “Radius”. Every remix is a work of art in itself. Standout tracks over the top. Not really meant as a whole. More like a shivery haze of mixed up calculations and adventures in the unknown. You can dance but you just can’t move to this.

It’s taken too far. This is the end of the line. Boeoes Kaelstigen teams up with newcomers from the next generation. This is people not responsible for what they are up to and they are letting us face the consequences. Hailing from Germany, Russia and Kenya, we gather large parts of the world here in this commuting experiment.

  • Commuting Colour 12" is the long awaited sequel to last year's Pan European EP.¬ The 12 inch vinyl features the tracks Cecta and Radius, with remixes from two of our favorite producers; Dumb Dan and Mikael Stavöstrand.

Boeoes Kaelstigen, have spent months in the studio and traveling, producing in such diverse places as railbuses through southern Europe and faded hotel rooms in Pyongyang, to reach the perfect - in every sense of the word - melodramatic tone.

Music with a defined goal. Music to be heard on long trips through shimmering metropolises at dawn, and early mornings at barren clubs in ramshackle industrial states.

In 2007, Pan European EP climbed its way up to the Swedish Prime Cuts top ten. This year, remixes of Firefox AK and Danish Printer as well as the dub of Familjen's hit single Det snurrar i min skalle have been praised by countless blogs, and Boeoes Kaelstigen have played nearly every corner of Sweden.

Boeoes Kaelstigen has taken a big step from promising newcomers to serious players amongst Scandinavian producers and discjockeys.

"The music is sharp-edged techno, a suggestive hybrid of minimal, luxurious Giorgio Moroder Italo and melodramatic proghouse. [...] Boeoes Kaelstigen's beats and desolate keyboard lines makes you long for a future in the sign of modernity."

"Music that remind of sweaty dance at night clubs and journeys by domestic train, with the countryside swooshing by."
