EN SE DE

  • INVITATION:

Your are invited to celebrate and take part in the collaboration of two Sophisticated Giants in the world of Modern Jazz.

This recording introduces a PREVIOUSLY-UNRELEASED series of LIVE performances by Dexter Gordon and Woody Shaw, both as co-leaders in the same ensemble and in their own groups. The release of this material marks the revival of the legacies of these two great artists, and helps to capture the excitement of their music almost 30 years after its initial creation.

Here, we are reminded of the tremendous sacrifice and artistic contribution made by these two innovative figures, during a time (late 1970s) when the music's survival became increasingly overwhelmed by changing climates in art and industry.

This is history you are about to listen to, folks.

Turn up your volume and enjoy....
