  • Since their formation in 1993, IMPEL, from Chula Vista, California, has been the attempt of four guys to sustain the colors derived from early V.C. bands like Amenity and Forced Down. With ex-members from Kill Holiday, they deliver a sound that´s anywhere between the cutting edge of Clikitat Ikatowi and U2, and an appreciation for heavy rockers Quicksand and Helmet, with a noise not unlike Drive Like Jehu. DIVISION OF LAURA LEE a unit was formed back in 1997, and with their love of music they wan- ted to create the most charismatic, passionate and naked rock imaginable. In their collec- tive experience, the ambition was born to develop their own personal sound not unlike post-punk, such as bands like Drive Like Jehu & Fugazi etc. With their improvised, but still so organized rhythm arrangement and textflow, they generate such energy it flows through you like electric pulses, beating with extraordinary charisma. This 7" was originally released as a tour single only in 800 copies. But with the demand that followed on re-pressing it, we have now worked our way through three different prints. Black, green transparent, and mint green vinyl colors. (And now also available as MP3!!)
