    No Contest is the second full-length release from Toronto-based avant-jazz saxophone/bucket duo Feuermusik (pronounced FOY-er-mu-zik). Following their critically-acclaimed debut Goodbye, Lucille (released 2006), the duo's sophomore effort is as much a return to, as it is a departure from, its predecessor. No Contest features the same orchestral treatments and textural layerings as Lucille; however, its pieces are conceptually broader and tonally more expansive. With No Contest Feuermusik move beyond pop-oriented song structures and further into the darker and more calculated arrangements that made Lucille a surprise hit among critics .
