Fina recensioner från bl.a.

Tommy Galento spelar även bas i Eve & The Last Waltz www.rhythmace.se

GOLFSTARBLUE is a strange disc that seems to have come out in 2003 but just arrived here at WFUM from Sweden. The music is wonderful; a combination of hazy,Badalamenti-meetsResidents soundscapes littered with both atmosphere and surrealism. Quirky electronics that come out warped but not too cutesy accompanied by piano, sax, and percussion. There´s also a very nice blanket of traditional Scandinavian folk flair, fitting the scenario in a quite comfortable manner.

  • The BUS AND BACON album starts with a solid set of drum rhythms sounding oddly distant but absolutely right for the track, as a combination of full-sounding keyboards, rolling drums, lead synth melodies and a sort of multi sax-like texture allies to sections of percussive eloquence from mallet percussion, but the track is just amazing in a kind of cross between Obmana, early French fusion and early Eno. All highly original, very atmospheric with solid rhythms and layers of musical textures and melodies forming a magical opening track that fades leaving you wishing it could have gone on for a lot longer. There follows a further 9 tracks of similarly sounding, slowly flowing melodic and rhythmic tracks from the sublime combinations of a smooth sax, undulating bass, rich electronics, percussive foundations through soundscapes (with a more eastern feel) to suitably more aggressive tracks with thunderous bass, a solid but not fast drum, percussive leads and synth textures. Overall It´s largely slow-mided-paced jazz-based music that is not rock, not electronic, more jazz than anything but it´s never sounded as good as this before? Highly original aswell as it mproves every time I play it. Quite superb. /ANDY. MONTHLY HIGHLIGHTS 2000, Dundee.

"BUS AND BACON" innehåller också titeln "Vi som planerar tågtrafiken (These trains)". Ola Andersson www.dagensskiva.com

  • A most unique band from Sweden. On the debut mini-album,they play a smooth, flowing brand of almost ambient fusion with a beautiful track 2 of a
twenty minute album featuring some tasty echoed piano, gently flowing percussion and sinous sax, with a feel but not exactly a sound.Track 3 is a touch more gloomy, more rhytmic but no less atmospheric with, again, piano, plus string synth, drums & perc. leading the way on a fantastic piece of a very
soundtrack-like music.Track 4 is a similaronly more subdued with electronics, the echoed piano, organ and gently crashing drums perc, the sax parts more textural elements as the track alternately lowsand slutters, again very filmic in its approach, only this time more varied.Track 5 is full of gorgously smoothsax, lilting piano, backwards sax textures, water sounds and organ stabs, all very ethereal,Finally track 6 is mainly echoed piano with
violin leads and a very beatiful piece of music.ANDY Monthly Highlights

In a way the music on this innovative CD could be defined as "urban ethnic music" or " city folk music" from the 22 century.A.HINOJOSA Amazing Sounds
