  • Hafdis Huld is quirky. Hafdis is seductive. Hafdis is gorgeous and Icelandic. Hafdis is perfect pop with a dark twist. Hafdis is sparkly, irrepressible and huge fun. Hafdis is a true one-off. Hafdis’s debut solo album, ‘Dirty Paper Cup’ was written with song-writing collaborators including Chris Corner from Sneaker Pimps, Pascal Gabriel, producer Jim ‘Arctic Monkeys’ Abbiss and others. These disparate elements were pulled into sharp focus by the twin talents of producers Neill MacColl and Boo Hewerdine, who teased Hafdis’s imaginative take on life into a hook-filled seductive pop album of unique charm and wit. 'Dirty Paper Cup' won Best Pop Album of the Year at the recent Music Awards ceremony in Reykyavik. The single 'Tomoko' was also nominated in the Best Video of the Year category.
