If the EP "Stitch of Happiness" was a spontaneous affair, "Blame it on El Niño" is Hanif's aspiration on making a stunning debut album. Produced by Paul Bothén (Kristofer Åström, The Bear Quartet) the record took a year and a half to complete and recieved overall critical acclaim. The album raised eyebrows in the US for its authentic take on americana and several of the tracks got airplay. It also rendered the band an opening spot for Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation.
