  • After the autumn In Dark Woods EP (which in November was number one in Sweden toplist / midprice) Ida Long now releases her long awaited debut album, Walk Into The Fire. This past year, the Swedish singer toured widely both at home in Sweden, throughout Europe (Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, etc.) and at clubs in New York. Ida Long's version of Mad World (theme song in an international award-winning trailer for the TV series Mad Men) and singles Hearts, Crash, Doll and Come Out and Play has been compared to, among other things Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Lykke Li, Feist and Björk - and in the January issue of the British Uncut compared a critic her singing with Madonna. The 14 tracks on the debut album clearly shows that Ida Longs expression is unlike any other. Ida Long is unique.

  • Ida Long version of Mad World. which she first sang in the Swedish trailer for the American Golden Globe-winnning TV series Mad Men, is a deeply personal take on this classic song (first recorded by Tears For Fears in the 80's and later covered by Gary Jules for the Donnie Darko soundtrack). Ida Long's voice makes grown men cry, and this beautiful performance - spiced with dreamy conversation samples recorded in New York City - is both soothing and dramatic. A masterpiece.
