    Tom Carter is an English music producer, singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist. He has released a number of albums under the name 'March Rosetta', and 'Menhirs of Er Grah' is the name of his solo acoustic music project.

    The band's name is taken from an ancient site in Locmariaquer, Brittany, where Neolithic man erected numerous standing stones (menhirs), the largest of which toppled over and became known as 'The Broken Menhir of Er Grah'.

    "Mourning Dove" was written and recorded in the autumn of 2008.
