  • Aage Hedensted; the man behind the previous indierock successes such as Yellowish and Slowburn is back on track with his most ambitious project so far. We present to you: Mixtune For Cully.

As for the sound, we are moving about on a vibrating knife edge in a singer/songwriter interplay, that has a preference for the traditional shoegazerscene, where sounds of americana and British folk fuse together. With his beautiful and piercing voice, Hedensted masters to muster a fragile thoughtfulness in his lyrics. All served through readily accessible popsongs.

Powerful musical strengths have been at work and carried out by experienced musicians from, among others, Larsen & Furious Jane and Delicia Mini. The noise of the guitar has been tuned down and replaced by insisting, acoustic elements.

In the confinement of the project it was no other than the American producer Kramer (Low and Galaxie 500) who was supposed to do the mixing. But being honest and loyal to his end product, Hedensted experienced the truth that Kramer wasnt the right person to finish off the record. Instead, the choice of producer fell on the talented Icelander Arni Bergman.
