    There is no doubt that Peder af Ugglas is a brilliant guitar player and musician. He is extremely skillful. But it's not his technical brilliance that makes him stand out from the crowd. It's his ability to find the notes, the moods, the expressions that go straight to your...whatever it is...heart, soul. It's your choice.

    On his self titled third solo album, the first on the Rootsy label, Peder af Ugglas does almost everything by himself. He composed, arranged and played (almost) all instruments himself. He produced and engineered the recordings himself. He probably made his own coffee as well. And listening to the new album you feel privileged to be invited to the wonderful musical universe of Peder af Ugglas.

    The music Peder af Ugglas creates know no boundaries. Sure, the blues is in a way a solid foundation for everything, but here it´s mixed with rock, jazz and various kinds of folk music.

    The music is sometimes beautiful and almost hypnotic and the next moment it's intense and demanding. The music is more or less instrumental but still it lives, breathes and communicates.

    You can chose to use the album as soft background music but be prepared to be lured and spellbound by this magnificent album.

    Peder af Ugglas first solo album ”Autumn Shuffle” was released in 2005, got rave reviews and sold very well all over Europe. It was followed by ”Beyond” in 2007, also received by critical acclaim.
