  • When Rick Haydon and John Pizzarelli performed together at the Classic American Guitar Show in Long Island in 2004, their set was so well received that they decided to record together. Bassist Martin Pizzarelli and drummer Tony Tedesco join the two seven-string masters on this inspired instrumental CD.

A professional musician and educator for more than 35 years, Rick Haydon has worked with an impressive list of jazz guitarists, including Johnny Smith, Howard Roberts, Pat Martino, Herb Ellis, Mundell Lowe, and Bucky Pizzarelli. Rick is a music professor at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.

A masterful guitarist with a smooth, engaging style, John Pizzarelli is a worthy successor to his father, jazz-guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli. John lists Nat “King” Cole and Frank Sinatra as his primary influences, and he holds a special place for the works of Sammy Cahn, Jimmy Van Heusen, and George and Ira Gershwin. A native of Paterson, New Jersey, John first joined his father onstage at the age of 20 and began his solo career in 1982.
