Sarek is a Swedish group that mixes pop, dance rhythms and influences from Swedish folk music. The music is a mix between lyrics written in a vivid way for the listener to see inner pictures and music that is trying to catch a feeling of both the present and the past - and their music is based on the same idea; ancient instruments meets today's modern music production.

The production team Jens Engelbrecht (swedish folkmusician and producer) and Leif Larsson (producer and songwriter who has also worked with Faith Hill, Louise Hoffsten, Ana and Björn Skifs among others) stands behind Sareks new sound.
Sareks new album "I natt ska marken skälva" will be released on August 27, 2008 by Mindport music/NoPic/Bonnier Music Distribution. This is the first single also called "I natt ska marken skälva."
