  • A jammin' vacation that turned into a band is maybe the best way to describe KING HOBO. Jean Paul Gaster (Clutch, The Bakerton Group) and Per Wiberg (Mojobone, Spiritual Beggars, ex-Opeth) had been talking about doing something together for years and finally found the time to do it. Good friends and brilliant musicians Ulf Rockis Ivarsson (Beat Under Control, Thåström) and Thomas Juneor Andersson (Kamchatka) play bass and guitars. Five days of playing music, storytelling and the odd beverage later a whole album`s worth of material had been recorded. The material ranges from groovy New Orleans funk, free form jams, blues to classic heavy rock, still there`s definitely a red thread running through the album and that`s the pure energy and sheer joy of creating something together right there and then. The phrase good times was used a lot during this recording and if it sounds like anything it`s just that, good times!
