    Shelby Cinca's 8-Bit electronica materialized in 2004 from musical sketches while touring with his futurist post-punk band Decahedron. Making electronic music out of an affinity with such musics as well as out of necessity for an outlet to create sounds while traveling in a moving vehicle. Drawing inspiration from daydreaming science fiction imagery under the passing ambience of city lights.

    Sonically the source sound material stems from a childhood fascination with the Commodore 64 and the original Nintendo Gameboy yet compositionally abhoring the concept of "twee 8-bit electronica" and approaching works rather in a forward thinking futurist manner. Bringing to mind such artists as: Mr. Oizo, Squarepusher, and Klause Schulze in 8-bit sonic contexts that create a soundtrack to living in our tech aggressive post-urban Gibsonian present.
