  • Two and a half year after their highly acclaimed debut album ”White Diary” Silver is finally back with a new album fittingly called “World Against World”. Silver hail from Oslo and play organic and dirty punk rock with the right amount of harmonies thrown in for good measure. And they do so with a snotty punk attitude and explosive energy that sets them apart from most bands in this field.

The release of ”White Diary” in 2004 resulted in a busy time for the band. They supported Turbonegro on their “Scandinavian Leather Tour” (as well as playing the annual Turbojugend festival in Hamburg) and toured heavily on their own in Italy, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Holland and their home country Norway. They also played several festivals all over the world including CMJ in New York, SXSW in Austin (twice in a row), Popkomm, Roskilde Festival and all the mayor festivals in Norway. A show on the Independence-D festival in Japan let to the release of “White Diary” on White Rabbit Records in Japan June 7th, 2006.

With “World Against World” Silver has taken a different approach to their music. Instead of moving towards mainstream they returned to their roots as heard on the “Riot 1-2-3” EP. They still play punk rock with a touch of fierce glam rock – but it’s more punk rock and less glam this time. The lyrics are still dark, gloomy and somewhat resigned but as often with Silver lyrics there is a light at the end of the tunnel somewhere. Originally released on CD.

  • Silver from Oslo, Norway are now finally ready to release their long awaited debut album. WHITE DIARY is the clash between rebellious rock'n'roll, mohawk-provoking punk rock and fierce glam rock. Singer Blanco spits out the dark lyrics with blistering intensity and the band play with a strong urge to shake things up. A classic debut album with 10 songs in 35 minutes that brings new life to a worn out genre.

Silver were formed in the Southern parts of Norway in 1997 by Blanco, Katz and Amy Jubb. They soon moved to Oslo to be involved in the happening local punk rock scene and here they met Bee Buzter and Peady Pedal and the Silver line-up was complete. They build up an audience by playing live and the buzz about an exceptional live band soon spread. Silver put out the self-financed "Billboard Blackout" EP in May 2001 but appeared on the major Norwegian festivals Quart and Øya even before their first official release.

The debut EP "Riot 1-2-3" was released in November 2001 and was produced by Euroboy of Turbonegro fame and Don Dons from We. Here it became obvious how explosive Silvers glamorous punk rock really was and the title track also appears on WHITE DIARY for a good reason. WHITE DIARY was recorded during the fall 2003 at Crystal Canyon in Oslo by Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh) & Silver with additional production by Anders Møller. Originally released on LP and CD.
