    Under 2009 fi ck Slowman fäste i musikvärlden, blev Årets bluesstipendiat (GreatJazz&Blues) och fl era låtar från det kritikerrosade albumet The Best of Slowman har blivit favoriter på utländska radiostationer. Recensenterna lyfter framför allt fram låtskrivandet och förmågan att förnya ”en sliten genre”. Uppföljaren I’m back med elva nya, helt egna låtar kom i mars 2010 och har fått ett varmt mottagande. Albumet har ett mer genuint analogt sound som ger en rootigare karaktär.
    Nu kommer en singel med duetten Roses & Wine tillsammans med Sherayé, en begåvad singer/songwriter och skådespelerska.

    The best of…who?

    Behind the name Slowman we find guitarist and singer Svante Torngren. He is now doing a comeback in the music business after many years in absence. During the first half of the 80s he was guitarist in the band 2001, they recorded a number of records for CBS and toured in Sweden and Finland. Svante also played in the afro funk group Sababas as well as writing and performing for theatre group Pero. In 1985 he was tired with the music biz and turned down a record contract but is now back 23 years later with "The best of Slowman", an album with all the best songs which never were released during these 23 years. The music is a mix of americana - blues, rock, soul, alternative country and gospel.
