One of the central ideas in Sonic Order of Happiness (SOOH) is the crash between speedy and crooked melodies and heart tearing lyrics. A characteristic voice together with twisted guitars and a fierce energetic rhythm section makes you want to party and at the same time cry your heart out.

The SOOH embryo started out when the Växjö based indie band Stalker took down their flag after several years of good music inspired of The Cure and Suede. The guitar player of that band – Niklas Johansson started to write songs on his own after that and just for fun he called the guys who had made up the rhythm section on the last recordings with Stalker to ask them to help him with a demo tape.

With Mikael Bruér on bass and Marcus Nordahl on drums they started to play together and did a few living room recordings. In 2005 they started rehearsing and soon went to Norrköping for a recording session wich ended up in the demo that was sent to Bastard & Bastard Records. Since B & B records is composed of people who can make a distinction between good and bad music they signed SOOH.

In February 2006 the band started to record the first album FOREVERSUCKER and Oscar Svensson joined in on guitar. After the recording session the band played in places like Nalen and Stampen in Stockholm, local bars in Jönköping and Växjö as well as more private gatherings with friends. FOREVERSUCKER was released late spring/early winter 2006 and did get some media attention but flew under the radar of many papers.

Though inspired by the many gigs the band decided to make another record. The ambition was to make a new record that would summon all the former musical and personal experiences in the band. The new record "The End of Quaint" has been recorded and mixed 2007-2008 and should be for you to hear sometime in the near future.
