  • In 2004, after spending most of the year in the studio the fruits of the bands labour can be heard on their third album, Suffering Fools Gladly, which sees the band in varoius moods, from dark claustrphic feelings to eclectic vocals, dark guitar hooks and energetic drum loops.
Spares are one of Britain's best kept secrets within the alternative scene.

  • Download is Spares second album following on from the critically acclaimed debut Tired and Bizarre. The band features ex. members Simon M. and Kyle Whipp of 1990’s goth rockers Children on Stun, joined on vocals by Alison Gann.

The album sees songwriter Simon M. back to his roots with three minute pop songs with a heavier edge than the Stun of old and bonus remixes by ex. Children on Stun front man Neil Ash, who indulges himself within the dance scene.

  • This EP focuses on the floating sensation created by the song The Snail's Rave - taken from the debut album Tired and Bizarre (MACDL956) - blending superbly with the new track It's OK I'm only Bleeding.
The EP is then lifted onto the dance floor by the truly remarkable remix of The Snail's Rave? by Stripper - the new band of Neil Ash and Kyle Whipp, which makes the Children on Stun connection even more valid - and radio edit of It's OK I'm only Bleeding.

  • Spares were originally formed in 1998 by ex. Children on Stun guitarist Simon M.
The debut album brings together a mix of musical styles and directions, which opens up the boundaries within the goth scene, and has become a forerunner of what has become the Cyber scene.
