    Taikes are a very exciting band from Gothenburg that now release their first full lenght album. A daring move from a daring band in who's music I find similaritys to Nirvana and Placebo among others. A different but at times a really cool match that results in a quite original sound. Despite this being
    Taikes first album, the band sure aren't no squabs. They have earlier released piles of demos and EP's. An active touring including 2 tours in Mexico has also given these gents a tasteful musical experience. Something that can be told clearly.

    A lot of the songs on "Dreamcatcher" are so masterly composed that I almost wonder if these are not B-sides to earlier mentioned bands. Songs
    like "Four", "All my dolls" as well as "Damnation" are completely without doubt some of the best material I've ever heard from an unsigned band.

    Mark my words! If Taikes will not become the next big band within 5-6 years, my name is Popeye.
