  • Terry Lynn was born and raised in Olympic Gardens, otherwise known as Waterhouse, an impoverished area in Kingston, Jamaica. Her favorite hobby aside from survival was lyrically clashing with guys selling produce amidst the chaotic markets and crowded arcades of Kingston. She would fiercely take on anyone causing an uproar from passersby witnessing a female spitting hard, insightful lyrics about the city swirling around them.

Terry Lynn captures with words a sense of Kingston’s environment and Jamaica’s struggles the way a camera captures images with a lens.

The sound is distinctive, hard and impassioned unlike anything heard from the sunny shores of this Carribean hotspot.

  • Terry Lynn hits again, this time with the fresh new single "JAMAICAN GIRLS" representing positive Jamaican women, and icons of the island.

Jamaican Girls was recorded with producer du jour Johan Hugo of Radioclit (The Very Best), as a US single from the North American EP "It Was Written" created with Red Stripe/Cornerstone celebrating new Jamaican music.

The tropical Jamaican stylings of Terry Lynn mixed into a molotov cocktail of danceable goodness.

"Jamaican Girls, got style and flair, we top the world, like everywhere
Jamaican Girls got grace and guts, them boys a lust, can't get enough..."
