  • They’re back! This time they take prisoners!

Så Länge Skutan Kan Gå Records proudly presents:
With no hint of shame at all:
    No really:

    Je ne sais Quack!
A brand new mini album from The Animal Five.

Lo, and behold! The Animal Five, the pride of Malmoe, have finally completed a new seven‐track album. There’s been silence; there’s been waiting; there’s been record company rejections but now there is SOUND! and MUSIC!
In all honesty, the song writing has been a bit slow, and outlook a bit bleak but, like angels, they rise up! And deliver an album wherein the songs have had plenty to time to mature (although the songs chose to spend that time doing other things) and to be polished – well, to be scrubbed.

Their music might - might - be described as rock or pop with a hint of…well, je ne sais quoi. Melody is king but noise is the queen mother. A lot of guitars certainly – especially on stage. Trying for the wonder of the perfect pop song, they keep getting tripped up by the angry and loud frankensteins of rock music.

For your listening pleasure – The Animal Five!

  • The single “Victoria”, out November 4th, is but one of many attempts from
singer Martin von Inghardt to get the love of his life to fall for him.

It was an autumn evening, not so different from autumn evenings everywhere, but this one ended in obsession! He admired her -from the first row, from the the bar, from afar. It didn't take long before he started writing poetry for her; poetry so wistful and sublime that it finally resulted in the song "Victoria". (Unfortunately, the movie and and book rights are already sold to Walt Disney.)

But Victoria please! If you hear this, drop the poor guy a line – martin@theanimalfive.com

"Victoria" is the new single release from The Animal Five and the second release from Så länge skutan kan gå Records. Their much anticipated album “Je ne sais quack” will be released November 25th.
