    Following this summer´s blockbuster success Mamma Mia, “the movie based on the musical based on the ABBA songbook”, the airwaves are once more being polluted by an endless stream of bland musical versions of all the Swedish supergroups’ golden hits. With a glimpse in their eyes, The Baboon Show – ”the ABBA of Swedish punk rock”, now delivers a most effective antidot.

    With their new version of Money Money Money The Baboon Show recreates the classic ABBA-song as it surely once must have been intended. As a fiery, direct and adrenalin driven protest song. A stomping attack on the bourgeoisie. The bands’ powerful take not only puts new strength behind the original words of the songs, but also updates the Benny Andersson/Björn Ulvaeus-composition in a brand new style that’s never been heard before.

    During the last years The Baboon Show has toured extensively all over Sweden and Scandinavia. Their high-energy hit Faster Faster Harder Harder has been on rotation on national Swedish radio and their hyper-effective smash The Riddle has been one of the ten most played songs on the popular American Satellite Radio show run by Per Gessle (of Roxette-fame) and Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist (The Hives). Next year The Baboon Show will tour Europe, starting with the touring Frenchfestival Les femmes s’en mêlent # 12 in 20-30 april. More dates and countries will be confirmed in the coming months.
