EN SE DE
  • Second album by The Burnouts outta Copenhagen on Bad Afro Records. The title is "Close To Breakevil" and you can expect some tough ass punk rock'n'roll that goes for the throat and never let loose. Despite the reckless speed and balls out punk power there's actually quite a lot of pop in The Burnouts this time around. Infectious choruses haunt almost every song and leaves a lasting impression in the back of your head. Just listen to songs like "You Lose" and "Just Like You". But the trademarks of The Burnouts, the intensity and groove, is still very much present!

The debut album by The Burnouts, "Go Go Racing", received very good reviews in Denmark and beyond and took the band on quite a trip. From appearances at Roskilde Festival (two years in a row) and other prestigious festivals like Popkomm, Adios Moshable, Eurosonic, Motormania and By: Larm over a 3 week European tour to tours in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Recently they toured the US with selected dates on the East Coast including CBGB's, Maxwell's and Continental in New York + a stint to SXSW in Texas where they played at the Danish showcase arranged by Roskilde Festival and Rosa (The Danish Rock Council). Close to Breakevil was originally released on CD and LP with 1 bonus track.

  • In 1999 it was about time that someone put Denmark on the rock'n'roll map and with The Burnouts people didn't have to look no further. Denmark's finest, The Burnouts from Copenhagen, was more than ready to unleash what would be known as the wildest punk rock shit ever to emerge from this armpit of a country. "Go Go Racing" had 12 blistering tracks in exactly 30 minutes recorded and mixed in five days at Das Boot with Fred Estby behind the helm. Raw, punk as fuck and almost recorded live, just like a debut album should be. The Burnouts build on The Oblivians and The New Bomb Turks and then add their unique brand of punk power.
