The Crystal Committee's main member is Fredrik Brändström. On "Tender Fury" he gets by with a little help from friends from the Swedish music scene, such as Johan Gustafsson and Johan Brändström (Randy), Magnus Öberg (Kevlar), Calle Ohlsson (The Bear Quartet) and Pelle Gunnefeldt (Fireside). However, The Committee doesn't sound like any of the bands mentioned above. Rather, they place themselves somewhere between the elaborate pop-harmony of bands like The Smiths and Belle& Sebastian and the triumphant rock of fellows like Bruce Springsteen. Soft, but not without attitude or commitment. But ignore this press-release and listen to the record instead. The chances are that you will stand up, screaming: HAIL THE COMMITTEE!, after just a few minutes.
