  • Uh wee, this is what you get if The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion still had any balls and had grown up in a shitty little town in the backwoods of Finland with a batch of old scratched rockabilly albums and a shattered Jesus Lizard tape as the only entertainment. The Festermen are truly demented, intensely fucked up and... well, truly original too. The F-Men formed in 1996 out of the ashes of Chop Suey and hail from a small town in the Eastern part of Finland called Varpaisjrvi. Here they invented their primitive and stripped down rockabilly stomp that makes Bo Diddley sound like John Denver. Two wild guitars (one of them amplified through a
    bass-amp) with a passion for the slide side of things, a very small drum-kit played by a madman and soaring vocals from the bowels of hell. And no bass of cource. That's the ingredients of The F-Men.

    Prior to "Full Treatment" they have released the "Bad Luck" 7" and the two mini-CD's "Loose Cannon" and "Get Up Early" on Trash Can Records, a small Finnish label responsible for early recordings by bands like Larry & the Lefthanded, Isebel's Pain, Thee Ultra Bimboos and many other Finnish acts. And in late 1999 they released the "Toelake Snakeman" 7" on Bad Afro. The debut album "Full Treatment" contains 10 rippin' tracks mixed up with two slow and disturbing tales of drunken craziness as they can only be made in Finland.
