  • "Dig It!" was the second album by The Royal Beat Conspiracy. These slick cats from Gothenburg in Sweden redefined themselves and came up with a fresh and vibrant mixture of southern soul and many shades of rock'n'roll and rockabilly that did not disappoint old fans while gaining new followers.

When their debut album "Gala Galore" was released to massive rave reviews in Sweden and beyond in 2000 it was hailed for the unique blend of pop, garage, southern soul, rockabilly and even disco as in their first radiohit "Disco Boy". "Dig It" is more focused, shorter and to the point. 10 songs in 33 minutes produced by Torsten Larsson who also produced "Gala Galore" and has worked with Soundtrack Of Our Lives and many others.

"Dig It!" may be more focused than "Gala Galore" but diversity is still a keyword for The Royal Beat Conspiracy. From the bossanova driven ghostrider song "St. Michael Theme" over the hypnotic ballad "By Your Side" to the groovy soul stomper "Good All Over" that is also the first single outtake from the album. What also separates the two albums is the more permanent addition of organ player Carl Stintzing who adds a wide range of sounds and cunning details to the songs making The Royal Beat Conspiracy sound like modern soul music with a slight psych flavor. Originally released on both LP and CD.

  • After stunning reviews of the debut album "Gala Galore" The Royal Beat Conspiracy released this 5-track EP. Besides the soul shaking title track it includes four new songs adding even further to the wide RBC sound. Like the album, the new EP is produced by Torsten Larsson (Soundtrack Of Our Lives a.o.) who manage to create a sound that holds respect for the rock'n'roll history without sounding old fashioned. "Shake What You Have Got!" continues The Royal Beat Conspiracy's quest for molding rock, pop, garage, soul and what not into their own sound. And once again they succeed in a glorious way! Originally released on CD.

  • The debut album "Gala Galore" by The Royal Beat Conspiracy from 2000 should have been the multi-coloured rock album that everybody had been waiting for to succeed what had been known as the Scandinavian rock 'n' roll boom. With the line-up of L-P Anderson (Vocals), Tord Komsell (guitar), Per-Olof Björklund (drums) and Ulf Janson (bass), these slick cats obviously had deep respect for the rock 'n' roll history and yet they sounded like no one else. An elegant and big sounding mix of early Rolling Stones, garage rock, ballads, pop, punk, soul and rockabilly.

However, The Royal Beat Conspiracy never sounded directionless or nostalgic. They knew all the tricks and could put them together in a new and stylish fashion like a truly all-round exploring rock band. It's all here, the 70's disco inspired "Disco Boy" (which wass also the first single from the album earning them a lot of airplay in Sweden), up-tempo rockers like "Hollywood Fever" and "Tonight" over soul-stompers like "Flame of Love" and "It's Not Enough" to staggering beautiful ballads like "Spend It All On You" and "The Sweetest Love". And speaking of ballads, when have you last heard a rock ballad that did not make you retch? Well, The Royal Beat Conspiracy can do it so you do not have to be concerned about seeing your breakfast again.

Most songs on "Gala Galore" are blessed with the cool sounds of The Royal Horns, the horn section led by Stefan Sandberg who is the man Ike Turner called when he was touring in ...
