  • No song is striking with it’s self-reflectiveness. Really a song about the song so to speak. Why will you love this song? Well, if not for the heartfelt lyrics you must do it for the classic the-second-band-contrast between a cheerful melody and melancholy lyrics. And it’s free…

  • The first full length album! We were so pleased finally to release a whole album. With this album a new The Second Band emerges, gone is the obvious catchy tunes that have been The Second Band’s trademark. Instead the definite form is epic, anthemic, political and assured. In other words something new!

  • The songs have improved and so has the production. We would say that it’s a more serious tone on this EP than the earlier ones. The lyrics are a bit darker, but the happy-go-lucky melodies cover this new found darkness. There’s been a good buzz around this record since it first came out. One song even made it all the way into an American TV-show! Opening track Wild is the wind was featured on Grey’s anatomy.

  • Oh, the good old what’s up, Tiger Lily? This EP made the whole of Örebro fans of the second band. This EP was also an eye opener for people outside of Örebro: P3-lab played the songs (a program on Swedish national radio for alternative music), the band played at Hultsfreds festivalen (Sweden’s biggest music festival) and the record reached the shores of Japan and the US. The music has more of an orchestra sound to it, lots of different instruments. This EP is also introducing Fabian Lundmark on the trumpet.

  • This EP introduces the second band to the world – in other words: their first release. The sound is folksy and breathes a sense of homemade. Feverish drumming, anxious guitars and vibrating strings. These songs inspired the local news paper of Örebro to describe The Second Band as "a dream for every A&R in the pursuit of a rare pop future".
