The Sweptaways are thirty women in coordinated costumes who sing choir-arranged a cappella
versions of pop tunes. Last year they released their debut album Ooh Aah and the EP Cry Cry
Christmas. Now it’s time for this year’s Christmas EP – A Christmas Party with The Sweptaways
& friends!
Just like The Muppet Show, The Sweptaways are sometimes honored by visits from celebrity
guests. And among the Christmas-stars Magnus Carlson, singer of Weeping Willows, and the
fourteen member-strong band The Gray Brigade, you can this year also see the glitter of the
choir-ladies darling Marit Bergman.
The title track is a Christmas cracker pop symphony composed by Sophie Eklöf and performed a
cappella by Marit Bergman and The Sweptaways. The second track is a cover of The Concretes
winterly Lady December, performed a cappella by The Sweptaways.
The EP also includes the songs Cry Cry Christmas and Silver Bells, both performed by The
Sweptaways, Magnus Carlson and The Gray Brigade.

Now you see why it was impossible for me to refuse the offer of recording a Christmas song
with The Sweptaways. Hope you like it.”
