  • Lazarus is the first fulllength album by The Violet Hour. The album was recorded in a little, tranquil house in rural surroundings during the summer of ’03. The perfect setting for the group’s very special branch of moody, pared-down folk rock. It was mixed by Per Knold and Ralph Reily (Baby Woodrose, Wynona a.o.) in Black Tornado Studios, Copenhagen, and finally mastered at Tocano by Morten Bue. Lazarus offers 9 strong, beautiful and exquisitely heart-rending tracks.

  • After Blue Peter had recorded their contribution to Play/rec#01 one of the members left to spend more time in the post-rock project "The Low Frequency in Stereo". After that the rest of Blue Peter regrouped, joined with another musician and finally emerged again as something completely different: The Violet Hour. A setting in which the distinct guitar noise of Blue Peter had been shawed of to make way for a songwriting method that focused on simplicity and a refined expression.
