Just like its predecessors in the "Angel Child" series"On the Side of Angels" focuses on the gothic and dark wave scene, but with a variation of different sub-styles and bands from different countries. Here you'll find classic guitar-based goth á la The Mission and The Sisters from Swedish Funhouse, Saints in Hell and Belgian Star Industry, new romantic-inspirered The Misled, the experimenting and innovative English Spares (ex. Children on Stun), ambient from Poland in the shape of God's Bow and the heavier school (often compared to Fields of the Nephilim and Tiamat) is represented by Dawn of Oblivion (Sweden), Burning Gates (Genova, Italy) and Killing Miranda (featuring members of Restoration II and an ex-DJ from Slimelight!), but also so much more.
