  • The new album ”High In The Lowlands” is an intimate collaboration with longtime friend Mattias Areskog. Only the two of them stuck in a cabin for just a week "High in the Lowlands" is the beautiful result of yet another Hellberg masterpiece. Throughout his work Mattias Hellbergs sad souled songs of Scandinavian heartbreak, be it with Hedros & Hellberg, Healing Hand, The White Moose he always did have a somewhat rootsy approach to the ancient troubadour tradition whose linage Hellbergs music clearly represents.

The album ”High In The Lowlands” is to be released in Scandinavia 2nd of November 2011.

  • Having existed in thought and spirit for some time, Blessing is now ready to set foot in the physical world. The members are essentially long-time collaborators, and have played together and alongside eachother in groups such as the (international) Noise Conspiracy, Switch Opens, Montys Loco and the Field. Organic, creative, groovy and progressive are keywords when it comes to the musical instincts of the group, and will be part of what is surely to become a dynamic and intense live show.

Blessing's first musical communication was recorded by legendary saxophone player Jonas Kullhammar at his home studio in Stockholm's eastern suburb of Orminge. The result is vibrant and positive, and holds great promise for the imminent future.

    Blessing is here!

  • Three live tracks from the Swedish radio channel P3 (who broadcasted an hour long live special from The Göteborg String Theory concert which took place on April 17th at Göteborgs Konserthus). Also available as a 12" vinyl EP.

  • Elephant & Castle is a musical work created by composers Matti Bye and Mattias Olsson. It is a journey through forgotten landscapes and a visit to an abandoned amusement park, to the sounds of an underwater orchestra playing broken barrel organs and strange instruments from a sunken ship.

The album was created in relation to the photographic work of Martina Hoogland Ivanow. Her images were used for inspiration during the recording sessions, as a visual partition for the music.
The result is presented in a stunningly beautiful box with a vinyl record, a phonograph cylinder, and fourteen photographs.

  • Jag älskar skivan. Den heter ”Standardmodellen” och är långt ifrån detta. Titeln ljuger så det tjuter i cd-ns blanka hinna.

  • Dress the Ship in Black packs a multitude of rich textures into its thirteen tracks, each ingredient unfurling to reveal hidden treasures. Jeor’s songwriting voice shines through on this bittersweet but playful release filled with melodic folk-pop and a mesmerising array of instrumentation which adorns a canvas of melancholy and drama, but also joy and exuberance. Wildly enchanting, it’ll move you and put a sloppy grin on your face.
