Create Voucher Codes

Voucher codes are a great tool for helping you to sell more music. You can reward loyal customers with discounts or have periodical sales. You can also use it to send digital copies to the press which will make your life much easier. Please note that the "giveaway vouchers" are not for free (see below).

This is how you create voucher codes:
1. Log into your admin pages and enter the “Voucher” area.
2. Start by filling out all fields and then click the "Update" button.
3. Click the "Create Vouchers" button.
4. Fill out how many voucher codes you want to make in the "Number of vouchers" field and choose if the code/s shall be unique by checking the "Unique" box, or just one code valid for the choosen amount times used, finish off by clicking the "Create" button.
5. Click the "Download" button to download the voucher code/s to your computer.
6. Distribute the code/s to your customers/promo contacts etc.

Overview of the Voucher Code page
ID: This is the systems ID number which is generated automatically by the system. You can't write anything here. Name (1): The name is for your own records so you can keep track of what this/these voucher code/s are made for. Notes (2): If you need to write additional info about the code/s you can do so here. Thi is also just for your own records. Order text (3): The thing you write here will be shown when someone use one of these voucher codes. For instace this could be: "Label Summer Campaign (25% discount)" or "Artist name - Release name (promo copy)". Discount/Giveaway (4): Here is where you choose if the voucher code/s are "discount" or "giveaway" codes. Discount vouchers are free. Giveaway vouchers costs 5% of retail price or a minimum of EUR 0.10. This cost is deducted from your accrued royalties when the vouchers are created. Mechanical license fees are charged as normal when vouchers are used. Discount (5): If you have choosen "Discount" above this is where you decide (on percent) which discount value the voucher code/s shall have. Expires (6): This is where you set the expiration date for the voucher code/s. Voucher applies to (7): If the voucher code/s shall be for a specific artist, or release, only this is where you choose that. If you don't choose anything here. The voucher code/s will be valid for all your releases. Min. releases (optional) (8): If the voucher code/s shall only be valid if someone buy a minimum set number of items/releases. This is where you set how many items/releases the customer has to buy at least to be eligable. If you do not write anything here the voucher code/s are valid from the first bought item/release. Max. releases (optional) (9): If the voucher code/s shall only be valid to at most a set number of items/releases. This is where you set how many items/releases that should be. If you do not write anything here the voucher code/s are valid for all items/releases in your shop. Min. tracks/files (optional) (10): Min. tracks/files (optional): If the voucher code/s shall only be valid if someone buy a minimum set number of tracks/files . This is where you set how many tracks/files the customer has to buy at least to be eligable. If you do not write anything here the voucher code/s are valid from the first bought track/file. Max. tracks/files (optional) (11): If the voucher code/s shall only be valid to at most a set number of tracks/files . This is where you set how many tracks/files that should be. If you do not write anything here the voucher code/s are valid for all tracks/files in your shop.

If the voucher code/s shall only be valid to at most a set number of items/releases. This is where you set how many items/releases that should be. If you do not write anything here the voucher code/s are valid for all items/releases in your shop.

Min. tracks/files (optional) (10):
Min. tracks/files (optional): If the voucher code/s shall only be valid if someone buy a minimum set number of tracks/files . This is where you set how many tracks/files the customer has to buy at least to be eligable. If you do not write anything here the voucher code/s are valid from the first bought track/file.

Max. tracks/files (optional) (11):
If the voucher code/s shall only be valid to at most a set number of tracks/files . This is where you set how many tracks/files that should be. If you do not write anything here the voucher code/s are valid for all tracks/files in your shop.
