Uploading content

When you have done the WAV/AIFF/FLAC encoding and conversion of the artwork into JPG/GIF images, and as a PDF if you wish, you can login on your "shop admin page" (link below) and start uploading the WAV/AIFF/FLACs, JPGs, PDFs and metadata into the system. http://www.klicktrack.com/shopadmin/

When you have logged in we suggest you click the "Shop" link and change your assigned password to something that's easy for you to remember. Should you forget your password you can always reset it here: http://www.klicktrack.com/shopadmin/password_reset.jsp.

Now you start creating a "release" by clicking "Releases" and "New release". Then you fill out the fields on the "release page" and click "Update". When you have done so, you have created a release and now you click "Edit Tracks" to start uploading the tracks for this particular release.

When uploading tracks you can either choose to upload track by track directly in your browser or you can use FTP software to upload all the tracks at once and then select "Use FTP Home Folder" on the "Edit Tracks" page. Now you can choose the tracks from a drop-down menu. This is usually a much faster way of uploading the tracks.

When you are uploading a track (WAV/AIFF/FLAC file) you have to select "Track" from the "Type" drop down menu. When you want to upload the artwork as a PDF file then you select "File" from the "Type" drop down menu instead. If you wish to have a preview file for the PDF (not required) make an representative image of it in maximum 1200x1200 pixels in JPG, PNG and BMP format and upload it under "Preview File". Preview and MP3 (for sale) files for the uploaded Tracks/WAV/AIFF/FLACs are created automatically by the system and are therefore not needed to be uploaded by you.

MP3 Preview Setting

If you wish to set a customized preview section and length you can do so under "Preview Start" and "Preview Length". This is done by setting at which time in the song you want the preview to start (under "Preview Start") and for how long time, in seconds, you want it to be (under "Preview Length"). If you do not fill anything out under "Preview Start" and "Preview Length" the preview will automatically be set to the Klicktrack standard preview.

Selling Lossless Tracks

The default setting is that your uploaded lossless tracks are converted to 320 kbit MP3 files for sale. (A pre-listening file is also done automatically by the system.) If you want to sell a track as a lossless file you should choose “Other” in the dropdown for “Type” at the "Edit Tracks/Files" page when publishing a release. (Again a pre-listening file in generated automatically by the system.)
In short: Normally you choose “Track” and a MP3 is generated but if you want to sell lossless choose “Other” and you will have a wav for sale instead.
