Fourth album from UK act whose musical goal is to create powerful & epic metal tributes to their Anglo-Saxon ancestors. A great combination of black metal, Viking metal, & heavy metal. For fans of Skyclad, Falkenbach, Thyrfing, Manowar, & Storm.
-
UK remastered reissue of epic metal band's third album, originally released in 2002 it's considered one of their best with all the power & passion one has come to expect.
-
New song from this rising UK pagan-inspired metal band!
-
FOREFATHER the third, or rather the first, because "Deep Into Time" is their 1999-debut, re-released in 2002 with a new cover-artwork (again a brilliant one by Chrille Andersson) and one bonus-track.
Ten hymns of melodic and blackened pagan metal!
-
Second album of the English duo FOREFATHER, "The Fighting Man," brings forth Anglo-Saxon Metal at it's finest...perhaps the English variant of Viking Metal. Amazing blackened metal with a feel and impression unlike any other bands available today. A superb release!

It's been four years since we've heard from the UK band Forefather. The brotherly duo of Athelstan and Wulfstan have returned with their fifth album.
Forefather may not be familiar to North American fans, but they are well worth checking out. Steadfast combines black, pagan and folk metal. The songs are heavy and intense, but also very catchy with some memorable riffs.
Forefather masterfully blends the darkness of black metal with the lightness of folk metal into music that is both melodic and atmospheric. The vocals are also diverse. They are a combination of black metal rasps and melodic singing. The lyrics pay homage to their Anglo-Saxon ancestors, with tales of battles and struggles. Steadfast is packed with good songs, with little or no filler. Forefather is band that Viking/pagan/folk/black metal fans will want to check out. - Chad Bowar (About.com)
