  • "April & May" is the first single from David Fridlund's first solo album, "Amaterasu". David, until now, more known as the David in David & the Citizens. "April & May" is a slow intense cabaret in 2/2. All of you familiar with David Fridlund's unique songwriting will recognise his tender voice and catchy but interesting style. All of you who're not, have never heard anything like this.

  • "White Van" was the second single from David Fridlund's album "Amaterasu". A single that is an EP includes songs written and performed by Sara Culler and Joel Fridlund. 1. David Fridlund - White Van: White Van is a gravely "on-the-road" track to rock round country lanes too. A song with the quality to have you moving along uncontrolled, and bopping too! 2. Sara Culler - Days That Can Be Ours: This is the first time Adrian Recordings released one of Sara Cullers' songs. Sara has always been in the background. Singing on lots of David & the Citizens' songs, eMiL Jensen's "Naken ner på knä" and teaming up with David Fridlund on most of the songs on his album "Amaterasu". "Days That Can Be Ours" is perfect Lo-Fi pop europhoria in the style of Cat Power on speed or Eric's Trip without the dude. 3. Joel Fridlund - Bluelipscold: Joel is the brother of David and the man behind the tape machine while David recorded his solo album. "Bluelipscold" is a drunken Brian Ferry laying in the streets. Elegant, sad but proud.

  • "Amaterasu" is the debut album from David Fridlund. The man also in front of the powerful pop combo "David & the Citizens". Neatly positioned between quiet sections of cool piano, even at the most stripped and feathered moments on "Amaterasu", a vying monster of bombastic qualities awaits, making it difficult not to be moved. If there is a place where something is minimal and experimental - it's where "Amaterasu" docks. Most acclaimed songs, besides the singles "April & May" and "White Van" has been "Then I will Miss You", "Circles" and "The Past Floats Likes Stones". A dark crooner in a dusty coat has arrived.
