  • In 1995 a gang of teenagers and childhood friends formed my Orchard. In December 2008 they decided that it was over and held a funeral concert for fans and friends. At a fully packed evening at rock club Pipeline they did their last concert on the 26th of December and friends and other bands joined in and contributed and the whole thing was filmed to be included in a documentary by Camilla Söderberg which follows the band from the early days until now.

They toured Sweden a lot but also made gigs in London and New York and have been a frequent guest at national radio P3s playlist. Quite a lot of their songs have also made it to films and TV-games. Their first two albums Grebo (1999), Five Years Long and Tall as A Dream (2001) and the EP Too Cool for School were produced by new wave legend and John Peel-favourite Jörgen Cremonese. Their debut album featured indie pop princess Marit Bergman on several tracks and she also joined the band on vocals and keyboards for the Popstad 1999 radioshow.

Their third album Silhouettes (2004) was their most successful both artistically and commercially and is by now almost sold out. A List of Thing was frequently played on national radio and the video had high rotation both on ZTV and MTV

We decided to mix the tracks recorded for the bands never finished 4th album to give away at the funeral gig but the result was so great that we turned it into a proper release.

It’s with great pride we release the bands final and best album. ...

  • "Detta är det bästa dom gjort. Ingen tvekan.
    Peter Dahlgren, Dagens Skiva (9/10)

"Swedish import, this 7 song Mini-CD hightlights a facet of Swedish pop familiar to affionadoes. The contrasting male/female vocal interplay works so well on all their releases, but Silouettes is the strongest of the three we have heard. They still mix in a more feminine take on The Buzzcocks and, say, The Hummingbirds and The Primitives. Odd, yes. But it works. The guitars will snarl one minute and then quickly ascend towards beautiful pop melodies. Like The Pixies, who are an influence here, as well as Guided By Voices and The Lilys. It`s a mish-mash, a wonderful mix, of a lot of disparate sounds and inspirations and it...works!! Very Highly Recommended! "

  • 2001 release from this fantastically, refreshing, challenging Swedish pop band with the ability to craft that 'classic Swedish jangle pop' sound on one song and then break out the guitars and crank 'em high with some spiraling riffage and knarly keyboard washes, all the while making imaginative, hooky pop music. The jangle never stops, whether they are in 'sweet' mode or their post C-86, My Bloody Valentine wall of guitars and cool sounds. Like all their albums, lot of disparate sounds and inspirations and it...works!! The guitars will snarl one minute and then quickly ascend towards beautiful pop melodies. A Sturm and Drang fest. Not for everyone, certainly, but check it out.....Very Highly Recommended!
