Yet another album that I keep coming back to, Horrors of the Black Museum's debut album has proven time and again that it is a magnificent treat for the ears, getting better with each and every listen. Slow, miserable, and plodding, a very depressing sound is focused here, with an archaic, esoteric atmosphere. This is something that captures your attention and doesn't let go, despite the fact that some songs go well over the 10 minute mark. Fantastic use of spacey synths play a major part in this album, and droning vocals permeate the afflicted atmosphere... great album, from recent years, 2008, sure to withstand the test of time. Recommended.
