Full-length debut from this obscure Finnish band. Umbra Nihil formed in 2000 and their music is as hard to define as the bands they take influence from. The filthier side of their sound is influenced by bands like Unholy, Swans, Cathedral and Voivod, while their more ethereal, melodic side is a result of inspiration from Godspeed You Black Emperor, Camel, Paradise Lost and The Gathering. Clearly, a band with a sound like no other.
