Subtle, light and heavenly in expression, the three-piece Italian ensemble of Lilium Aeris guides the listener through gentle expressions of the ancient past. The songs of "Leys d'Amors" were arranged by Lilium Aeris and transcribed by Andrea Tuffanelli from photographic copies of original medieval manuscripts. This album features renderings of traditional 12th century songs by Aimeric de Peguilhan, Folquet de Marseilha, Arnaut Daniel, Bernart de Ventadorn, Guiraut de Bornelh, and other anonymous composers from the 13th century. Lilium Aeris includes members of both Lucus and Sepulcrum Spei, both recognized for their work in the medieval and ambient genres.
