This album is a morose, melancholy, transcendental piece of musical art that made a lot of waves upon its original release in 1995. Monumentum's debut can be likened to what Dead Can Dance might sound like if they tried to go into some kind of dark/doom metal direction. This 2009 reissue features new cover artwork and bonus track "In Misery Front Raw."
