  • Paper and Les Big Byrd have made a split single where they do a cover of one each others songs. This is Paper doing Les Big Byrd's "Back to Bagarmossen" in a summery kraut-synth-punk version. Great stuff!

Kraut punkers Paper are back with their second album "Mischmasch". It's harder and poppier at the same time. More synths and more punk. In other words, more fun! They have honed their sound to perfection and it's music on the borders of old school punk, rock, postrock and dreamy pop. Add well arranged melodies as nitrate to the cold cocktail and you have a perfect album. Three of the songs on the album, “She’s got lard”, “Hold on me” and “Meaning of a special kind”, are produced by Björn Yttling (of Peter, Bjorn and John) who himself is a huge Paper fan and never misses an opportunity to push them in interviews and articles. There's a strenght to be able to say much with small means and something Paper have mastered completely.. I am sure this will be the album that breaks Paper to a wider audience. It is THAT good. Crank up the volume and sing along, in which ever of the songs. They will stick in your brain after one listening and you won't get them out.

  • Paper is back with the first single taken from their upcoming second album "Mischmasch". The production is superb and have taken their kraut punk sound up a notch. Harder, heavier and poppier at the same time. More keyboard and more fun. The single comes with the b-side "Meaningless" which will not be om the album. Great stuff!

  • An Object is Paper's highly anticipated debut album. Paper is a kraut-punk trio featuring Calle Olsson from The Bear Quartet and Paddington DC along with members of Audionom. The sound is based around the frustration of punk, the delicacy of pop melody and the hypnotic power of repetition. Think early Wire meets early Wire, simple, powerful. A great piece of kraut-postpunk.
