Swedish composer/thereminplayer performs his
own instrumental music on the theremin.
Pekkanini has now more than 100 000 video views on YouTube.
The theremin was invented in 1919 and became the first electronic musical instrument that had a career in the XX-century and it is still the only instrument which can be played without any mechanical touching. The theremin-player moves his hands near two antennas. The proximity of the right hand to the vertical antenna changes the electromagnetic field thus changing the pitch of the sound over a six-octave range and the left hand controls the volume.

Pekkanini composed the music for the swedish set of Bernard Pomerance's "The Elephant Man" directed by Kajsa Bramsvik .
It opened at Moomsteatern in Malmoe, Sweden in the spring of 2007.

In the middle of the 70´s, Pekkanini and Gunnar Danielsson started the rockband, ENSAMMA HJÄRTAN (Lonely hearts).
They released several albums and toured around Scandinavia.
In the 80´s DANIELSSON and PEKKANINI released several albums and hitsingles like:SOM SOMMAREN, ISHOCKEY & FOTBOLL and the album LOUIS MARIE
From this albums songs where taken to the TV-show, Guldslipsen, where Gunnar was one of the presenters.
Pekka and Gunnar has continued their cooperative work through the years resulting amongst others with a release on the internet (2003) with the album DANIELSSON & PEKKANINI - SILVER.
