Vanishing Breed is Alexander Holmes - a British songwriter who currently lives and works in Berlin. His Debut-Album "Between Arrival And Departure" on Pingipung is an elaborate Folk-Album showing Shanty-Roots, Hi-Life guitar picking and the true love for the ocean and the travelling above it. His soft and insistent voice tells us stories about seamen, checking ins and outs, and he evokes a constant fearlessness and curiosity. Holmes has been playing with the London anarcho-band "They Came From The Stars I Saw Them" before.
